On December 8, we had an incredibly meaningful school-wide assembly.
Our students were thrilled to present a cheque in the amount of $1,410 to David Smajovits from the Jewish National Fund from our Read-a-Thon. He was very overwhelmed with this impressive result from our school. Thank you to all our readers for supporting this important initiative!
Equally as impressive was the amazing amount of toys we collected from our Share the Fun Dress Down Day Toy Drive! Stu Guttman from Chai Lifeline was completely touched by the generosity of our families and students. He shared a story about a child living in Dollard who had just that same day made a request for a specific toy that Stu saw was in our pile. He told our students that he was personally going to bring it to her house following the assembly.
We also had our Monthly Middah skit and a special musical presentation put on by Grade 5 using the boomwhacker sticks. Thank you to Grade 5 and to Monique for the extraordinary performance!
