Fire & Ice Havdalah

Saturday evening, November 26, together with PJ Library, we hosted an meaningful Fire & Ice Havdalah program. Families skated, made their own Havdalah candles and some of our Grade 4 students performed the Havdalah service with Rabbi Stiefel. Then we all enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies with a special story time. It was a magical evening! Thank you to all who came out and participated.

Grade 3, Room 212 Shabbat Slideshow

Technology isn’t only invading Kindergarten!! Check out this amazing slideshow our Grade 3, Room 212 students put together. They concluded their unit about Shabbat with a fun-filled activity incorporating technology and Judaica studies. The kids wrote about the mitzvot of Shabbat, documented their personal experiences with Shabbat and combined them with the aid of the Tellegami app. Creating our “gammis” was so much fun!

As part of our Kindergarten’s Club des Petits Voyageurs, our students did an important activity to support their fine motor skill development yesterday – since they are studying China this month, they used chopsticks to pick up little balls and put them into cups!
